Writing with a pen empowers the brain

Nowadays people more and more often use their electronic device to write, to put down notes. In former days people used to write with a pen. What is the difference one could ask.

Current research shows that there is a big difference. If you put down notes by electronic device the capacity of memorizing is not as good as if you put down notes with a pen by writing.

Further on there’s another ………..big difference. If you try to put down notes listening to a lecture there’s hardly no difference as if you write down the notes. The more complex the issue of the lecture is you listen to, the more important the difference is between putting down notes in you electronic device and writing with a pen on a piece of paper.

What is the lesson learnt? Here’s the answer:

  • The more complex the issue is, the better it is to write down the notes by a pen on a piece of paper.
  • The more you want to memorize the better it is to use a pen to put down notes on a piece of paper.
  • The more you relie on putting notes into electronic device the sooner you’ll forget more of what you type into your laptop or smartphone.
  • The more you use your pen to put down notes on a piece of paper, the more flexible you’re with your mind and the better your capacity of reflecting develops.
